LE STUDIO: A Conversation Between Two Friends About Creativity, Friendship and Growing Something Small Into Something Meaningful

What started as a simple joy of making things slowly grew into a brand with its own soul, rhythm and unmistakable aesthetic. LE STUDIO is a small female-led Czech brand built on love for detail, craftsmanship and natural materials. Every piece is created locally, by hand, with a level of care that is increasingly rare.

Behind the brand stands Lenka, the founder and creative mind, later joined by Bára, who takes care of customers, collaborations and everything that keeps a small brand alive. Today, they sit together and talk about inspiration, friendship — and what it’s like to grow side-by-side, not just in work, but in life.

Lenka – Brand Owner & Designer

Founder, designer LE STUDIO and the creative force shaping the brand. She brings sensitivity to detail, a love for aesthetics and an instinct for materials that carry their own stories. Lenka designs every piece, sets the creative direction and infuses the brand with its gentle, intimate character.

Bára – Brand Partnerships & Customer Care

The heart of customer care and collaborations. She brings structure, calm and warmth to everything that happens behind the scenes. A natural connector, she helps build the community around LE STUDIO while supporting Lenka both professionally and personally — becoming an essential half of the brand’s energy.

“A Brand Built on Friendship, Creativity and Care”

Bára: Hi Lenka, how are you today?
Lenka: Hi Bára! I’m doing great :) Every time I’m asked to do an interview I get nervous, but let’s do it.
Bára: I totally understand. Let’s get started :) Your brand, Le Studio, celebrated two years — how would you describe those two years? What has the brand been through so far?
Lenka: Two years, wow, time flies :) It’s been a ride of ups and downs, but overall I’m hugely happy about everything. At the beginning I couldn’t even imagine we’d be where we are now. We launched a new e-shop — my “baby”, which I worked on for half a year — and I’m extremely proud. We’ve had amazing collaborations I never even dreamed of, and above all, a million more ideas. So I hope there’s still so much more ahead of us, haha :))

Bára: Yes yes, two years already! It also feels like it’s gone so fast. And if we look back to before you founded Le Studio, what were you doing then?
Lenka: A lot of marketing work in an agency. It taught me many important things, but it wasn’t fulfilling me. I missed the chance to create something of my own. I always loved design, fashion, beautiful things — but I never had the courage to believe I could have my own brand. And then one day it just happened, completely by accident, and turned my life upside down in the best way :D

Bára: And how did the brand actually begin?
Lenka: Funny thing is, it wasn’t intentional to make a brand out of it. I was overwhelmed with work and missing a creative outlet. So my friend and I bought beads and stones and started threading just for fun. I always loved taking pretty photos — nothing professional, just phone snaps — and I posted the rings on Instagram alongside outfits I loved.
People around me liked it, and suddenly the first requests came asking if I could make them too. Then more came. So I created a dedicated profile, people started following me, writing to me… and that’s how it happened :)

Bára: So step by step a brand was born — one that works to this day. Nice!
Lenka: Yes, basically entirely by chance :)

Bára: What inspires you when creating?
Lenka: Everything around me. I love fashion, music, I follow different Czech and international independent brands or content creators. I spend a lot of time on Pinterest — fashion photos, artists, outfits, graphics… Then sometimes I worry mine isn’t quite as cool haha 😀 but I try to use that as motivation to keep improving myself and the brand.

Bára: Absolutely, all creative souls live on Pinterest :D Everyone must be curious — how does the process of making your products go?
Lenka: It depends on the product. If I take our bestseller — the beaded phone strap — then my mum (who helps with production) and I refined it for about a year. I couldn’t figure it out and nearly gave up, but she kept pushing me to keep testing. I had the idea in my head, but couldn’t find the right material and the straps kept breaking. After about a year we got there! Then we refined it into its current form: the fabric, material, clasps, length… It doesn’t look like much, but it’s a process.
Now I’ve had to step back a bit from production because of time, and I passed it to my mum, who loves it and does everything perfectly, down to the last detail.

Bára: Do you remember when we used to go to Máneska, before we even knew how far Le Studio would go — threading beads into the night, drinking wine, talking about life and boys? :D

Lenka: Best memories haha! It’s essential to go back to those moments and realise how beautiful the journey was. It’s amazing how we both have grown. Us, our friendship — and with that, Le Studio. A fairytale, ah 🫠

“Female friendship can build things we never imagined.”

Bára: How do you feel about our friendship?
Lenka: I don’t even know how to describe it. It’s absolute trust, love and a ride. 😀 We cling to each other and we’re unstoppable together! But we can also tell each other: “Calm down, that’s nonsense,” and at the same time see the other as a queen and cheer her on. What about you?
Bára: Absolutely the same — one without the other just wouldn’t work :D
Lenka: Female friendship is the best thing in the world. It really works wonders.

Bára: Do you feel it influences the brand too?
Lenka: Definitely. Each of us has strengths in something different and we complement each other beautifully. We give each other confidence and hold each other through hard moments — and let’s be honest, there are quite a few in business and in life. That’s absolutely key for me.

Bára: If you look back to the time before Le Studio existed, what was Lenka dreaming of?
Lenka: I always dreamed of working in fashion or in a magazine, in a creative environment — but at that time I just couldn’t imagine myself there. Maybe it wouldn’t even be for me :))

Bára: And Lenka, do you remember how we met? :) They say once you’re grown up you don’t make friends easily, but for us it was smooth as butter. I can’t imagine not knowing you. Thanks, Vojta!
Lenka: Haha, of course I remember! :) Our first “date” in Letka! We had a drink, found out we’re exactly the same — Scorpio core :D — and now without each other we’d never be okay, right?
Bára: Haha yes! And every year we celebrate the anniversary of meeting in a big way — almost more than with our partners :D

Bára: So, what are Le Studio’s plans for the future?
Lenka: We have so many plans! My little dream is to have our own showroom — a place where I can meet people, with a pink Moccamaster brewing good coffee (you know we’ve talked about it forever), lots of plants, our dogs… a zen space where we can work side by side.
I’d also like to expand the portfolio with more products, but the most important thing is for Le Studio to stay true to what it is. I don’t want us to be swept away by trends. I want people to love Le Studio and smile with us. Not too cool, not too styled or too serious — just genuinely us two. ❤️
