ONDALUZ — A New Jewellery Collection by Martina Rozenberg Smira

Inspired by the Mediterranean.

Gentle, quiet, calm, dreamy, fragile, mischievous, untamed, elusive, restless, spontaneous, unbridled, wild, stormy, free — it’s all me. And it’s all ONDALUZ.

Martina Rozenberg Smira is a Czech jewellery brand that beautifully blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design. It reflects the energy of two cities — Prague and Barcelona. This spring, the brand has reached new heights in both its craft and creative direction, launching a stunning new collection that marks a new era for MRSJ.

The campaign and launch event for the new ONDALUZ collection were created in collaboration with creative studio Lucie Desmond Studio and the MRSJ team. Poetic texts were provided by Inkoustová Tečka, while the emotional connection through scent was crafted by perfumer Jakub Hiermann.

In the Waves of Freedom

ONDALUZ comes from the Basque phrase meaning “in the waves.” The collection captures the fleeting, liberating feeling of summer — Mediterranean beaches, crashing waves, salty air, and the pure joy of slowing down and simply being present.

The collection features 22 unique pieces crafted from surgical steel — a material that retains its colour even in contact with water — alongside freshwater pearls and 24k gold plating. The organic, irregular designs are inspired by wild beaches and the raw beauty of nature, making each piece a bold personal statement.

A Sensory Launch Experience

The ONDALUZ collection was officially launched on March 12th at Efsy in Prague 3 — a space carefully chosen to reflect the collection’s Mediterranean inspiration.

Multiple rooms were transformed into the world of ONDALUZ — an immersive storytelling experience engaging all senses. Visitors were guided through the collection visually, enveloped in the scent of a signature perfume created by Hiermann Perfumes, while a Mediterranean-inspired table setting completed the atmosphere.

The experience was elevated by live music performed by OOZLUM, jewellery installations by Ráchel Smékalová, and textile decor by KS Textile.

Among the guests were brand ambassadors and friends of the brand, including Viki Ortner, Vanda Janda, singer Sharlota, actress Beáta Kaňoková, Michaela Říbalová, artist Eliška Chomistek, and many more.

Jewellery with a Story

MRSJ was founded by designer Martina Rozenberg Smira, who believes that jewellery can be more than just an accessory — it can carry meaning, tell a story, and even help others.

Her journey began with creating bracelets to support the Ostrava hospice Ondrášek, which provides care for terminally ill children and adults in the comfort of their homes. Thanks to the support of her customers, Martina has raised 400,000 CZK over five years — a powerful beginning to her vision of jewellery with purpose.

“I create jewellery because I believe it can be so much more than just decoration. Every piece can be a personal talisman, a reminder of important moments, or an expression of identity that tells its own story,” says Martina Rozenberg Smira.

I am free, and I have always been.
