Your Summer, Bottled
Summer is quite literally around the corner. Long evenings outdoors, holidays, freckles, sun-kissed shoulders, light cuisine, and breezy clothes — that’s what summer feels like to me. You know what else? A signature summer perfume. One that’s fresh yet unique, one that complements the weather, our mood, and those bright, golden days. Not sure where to start? Here’s our hand-picked selection.
PARADISO LIMITED EDITION VOL. 3
For the third year in a row, the perfume house Pigmentarium is releasing its summer limited edition: Paradiso. The playful, bittersweet scent reflects the design of the bottle itself. Each year, Pigmentarium collaborates with an artist who is given complete creative freedom to design both the bottle and the packaging — inspired purely by what the scent evokes. And for the third time, that artist has been a woman.
This year’s edition features the work of Eva Rampich, a visual communication graduate from Bern and a graphic design graduate from Prague’s UMPRUM.
“summer is here, let’s not stress — let’s enjoy it.”
The scent captures that carefree summer vibe: “summer is here, let’s not stress — let’s enjoy it.” Its main notes include grapefruit and juniper, with hints of mandarin and rhubarb.
For me, the scent brings back memories of a summer afternoon in Greece when I was a child — a thick layer of SPF 50 on my face, pine trees swaying around me, a fresh juice in hand, my body exhausted from jumping waves, and me, fully immersed in the moment. That childlike sense of lightness and joy is captured both in the fragrance and the design. As Eva says, the packaging doesn’t need to be “understood”. Instead, it should surprise us — gently overwhelm us in a delightful way — even before we catch a whiff of the perfume itself. It completes the sensory experience down to the smallest detail.
Never Ending Summer
This one’s not technically a perfume, but rather an eau de toilette — Replica by Maison Margiela — and it transports you straight to the Amalfi Coast.
It feels like you’ve been sipping Aperol by the sea all day — even if you’re sweating it out in the city. The key ingredient? Oranges. It’s a never-ending summer in a bottle. Think: warmth, relaxation, gelato in one hand, Aperol in the other, a great book by your side, a light breeze on your skin, and a bright, citrus-kissed scent lingering in the air. That’s the feeling this fragrance effortlessly evokes.
Cowgirl Grass
This brand-new launch from Silk Ferries is a ride — and you’ll know it from the name alone. It’s fresh, floral, and full of summer spirit.
We’ve had our scent of seaside summer — but that’s not the only kind. Now we’re heading west: a western summer full of wild landscapes and blooming meadows. Picture yourself on a mustang, cowboy hat tilted just right, matching chaps fluttering in the breeze. You tie up your horse and lie down in the tall grass, surrounded by wildflowers, sipping a lychee lemonade. The entire scene is nostalgic, sun-drenched, and a little dreamy.
That’s exactly what this fragrance captures. Built around peonies, fresh grass, lychee, bergamot peel, and jasmine water, it was crafted by perfumer David Seth Moltz. You’ll find Cowgirl Grass — along with two other new releases — at Silk Ferries or on their website
